Norwegian Translation

The Norwegian Data Inspectorate commissioned Norweigan translations of 12 cartoons for a calendar and to use as illustrations in PowerPoint presentations. They provided the translations. I handwrote the cartoon font, scanned and added them with photoshop.

Just received these courtesy of the organisers at the 5th International Conference of Information Commissioners. The cartoon has been nicely printed on the side of cloth bags given to delegates. Each section of the handbook features a new cartoon.

A classic cartoon scenario - the barman with a down-in-the-dumps drinker, but I've always wondered: what are barmen's ethics? With all those poor patrons pouring their hearts out over hard liquor, do barmen have a privacy code? They could be creepy writer types, ready to prey on the personal lives of others. So unlike cartoonists.

New Cartoons For Privacy Awareness Week

Hi,

These two cartoons were created for The Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand, and designed to be used in publicity material for Privacy Awareness Week. The theme is "Privacy Is Your Business." (August 26-1 September 2007) The fortune teller cartoon is being used in a poster. The idea came from a staff member at the Commissioner's office. The briefcase cartoon was my idea and is being used on a DLE-shaped pamphlet entitled "Top Ten Tips For Privacy". Colours were chosen from pantone swatches suggested by the designer.
